Nederlandse Spoorwegen (NS)

De collega’s van NMBS en CFL hebben veelal een BeNeLux pas en reizen zo ongehinderd met NS-treinen in Nederland en in internationale (reserveringsvrije) treinen geëxploiteerd door NS/NMBS . Als spoormedewerker in Nederland zit dat (om belastingtechnische redenen) net even anders. Op last van de Nederlandse Belastingdienst wordt de BeNeLux kaart al jaren niet meer vertrekt aan Nederlandse collega’s, maar bestaat wel de mogelijkheid om onbeperkt NMBS en CFL coupons aan te vragen.

FIP VOORWAARDEN
- De NS coupons zijn gratis voor medewerkers en kinderen tot 18 jaar met NS Business Card Dal.
- De NS coupons kosten €5,00 voor gezinsleden (uitgezonderd kinderen in de overgangsregeling).
- Voor gezinsleden met een Business Card wordt €5,- bij het loon geteld; voor kinderen boven 18 jaar zonder reisfaciliteiten betaal je €5,- netto.
- Met NS coupons voorkom je dat je moet in-/uitchecken. Er zit ook een barcode voor de poortjes bijgeleverd.
- BeNeLux-kaarten en NS-coupons zijn zonder toeslag geldig op de HSL tussen Breda en Rotterdam C en tussen Rotterdam C en Schiphol Airport (Intercity Direct).
- BeNeLux- vrijbiljetten, de Benelux-vrijkaart én FIP zijn geldig zijn op zowel de Eurocity Direct als de EuroCity.
- BeNeLux-kaarten en NS-coupons zijn niet geldig in Eurostar én treinen van andere vervoerders (zoals Arriva, Keolis, Qbuzz, Blauwnet, etc..)
- Uitgezonderd in treinen in de treindienst tussen Alphen a/d Rijn en Gouda v.v. (R-net, wordt gereden door NS), FIP is geldig.
- In de trein van Arriva (RE18) maar enkel tussen Maastricht en Luik-Guillemins, FIP en BeNeLux zijn geldig.
- in de RE18 tussen Maastricht en Aachen (D) zijn FIP documenten niet geldig maar het vrij-vervoer op de NS Businesscard (inchecken bij Arriva) wel.

Dutch Railways (NS)
Welcome to the Netherlands. Here you can find some information for colleagues travelling with FIP in the Netherlands.
- FIP Coupons are only valid in NS-trains, with the following exceptions;
- NS coupons are also valid on the route Gouda – Alphen aan den Rijn (RNET operated by NS).
- NS Coupons are also valid on the RE18 between Maastricht – Eijsden (operated by Arriva in cooperation with NS)
- NS and NMBS coupons are also valid on the RE18 between Maastricht – Eijsden – Visé – Liège-Guillemins (operated by Arriva in cooperation with NS and NMBS)
- note: Coupons are not valid on the same RE18 service between Maastricht – Heerlen – Aachen Hbf v.v.
- FIP coupons are not valid on other operators’ services (e.g. Arriva, Connexxion, Keolis, Qbuzz, Vias)
- Children up to 11
- All children up to 3 years old travel free (if not occupying a seat themselves)

- Gronau (Westf) (Gr) on the route Enschede – Gronau – Münster/Dortmund
- Valid in DB Regio
- Emmerich (Gr) on the route Amsterdam – Utrecht – Arnhem – Düsseldorf and further
- Only with ICE International and NightJet (NS/DB)
- NOT valid in RE19 (Vias)
- Venlo (Gr) on the route Amsterdam – Utrecht – Venlo – Köln und further
- Only with ICE International and NightJet (NS/DB) when diverted
- NOT valid in RE13 (Eurobahn)
- VALID in RE13 (DB Regio) from 2027
- Herzogenrath (Gr) on the route Amsterdam – Utrecht – Heerlen – Aachen und further
- Only with ICE International and NightJet (NS/DB) when diverted (rare)
- Hazeldonk (Gr) on the route Rotterdam (- Breda) – Antwerpen – Brussels
- Valid in EuroCity Direct and EuroCity (NS/NMBS)
- Valid in Eurostar with reservation
- Roosendaal (Gr) on the route Roosendaal – Essen – Antwerpen (- Puurs)
- Valid in S32 (NMBS)
- Visé (Gr) on the route Maastricht – Eijsden – Visé – Liège-Guillemins
- Valid in RE18/S43 (NS/NMBS) between Maastricht and Liège-Guillemins
- NOT valid in RE19 between Maastricht – Heerlen – Aachen Hbf.
NS Gates
Many stations now have access gates. FIP coupon holders are issued with a NS gate pass barcode coupon for opening barriers at NS stations. The NS gate pass barcode coupon is valid only in combination with an FIP country coupon for NS. It is a gate pass, not a travel pass.
FIP Reductioncard
FIP discounted tickets cannot be bought on train. FIP discounted tickets may only be purchased at the ticketdesk which are available on the following stations [link] or by phone via +31 30 230 0023 (every day from 07:00-23:00h)
Before you start your journey you have to check-in, make sure that you always check out from the same carrier you checked in with. NS scanners are yellow.
EuroCity (Direct) in the Netherlands and to- and from Belgium
Will you be using the Intercity direct or Eurocity Direct to travel from Schiphol Airport to Rotterdam or vice versa? Then you need an Intercity direct supplement if you’re traveling with a FIP-Reduction ticket. If you’re traveling with a NS coupon you are exempt from this.
You can travel between the Netherlands and Belgium with any EuroCity or EuroCity Direct train without any reservation or supplement if you’re holding a NS- and NMBS coupon.
